It All Started With a Father, a Son, and an Old Truck

A 1972 Chevy C10 to be exact.

What began as a simple project between me and my dad turned into a 12-year labor of love. Countless weekends in the garage, busted knuckles, late-night parts runs — all leading up to one incredible truck that carries more than horsepower; it carries memories.

When the build was finally complete, we decided there was no better place to debut it than the C10 Nationals in Texas. Day one, we rolled in — proud, nervous, and excited.

As we were hanging around the truck, a group of guys started walking around it, taking a close look. I (Dalton) introduced myself, and we struck up a conversation. They asked some surprisingly specific questions, which had me curious... and then came the surprise:

They were from The BLOCK, Chevrolet’s official online magazine.

They told us they were blown away by the truck — especially because we built it using Chevrolet’s LS3 Connect & Cruise package. And then came the words every builder dreams of hearing:

“We’d love to feature your truck in the magazine.”

Check out the full story below — it’s more than just a truck; it’s the story of family, patience, and building something unforgettable.
